Turisas

TURISAS maniacs take heed! Grab a pint of blood, black paint or shoe polish, put on something furry and get your warpaint in shape as a massive touring campaign by Finnish folk metal masters TURISAS are in the UK. It will take your beloved, brave warriors first through UK/Ireland in September/October, then the US & Canada in November/December until the final leg of the tour hits mainland Europe in early 2009. The band will be direct support for Dragonforce, so get ready for one hell of a party!

Vocalist Warlord Nygard states:

“Fresh from the first show in Oxford, we're sitting here in backstage drinking the first beers! The gig was awesome, and we're really glad to be on tour once again. The summer was very busy - after having got used to spending our summers at festivals around Europe for years, we faced an exciting change as this summer with most of the festival shows taking place in our home country Finland. The whole summer was caught on film and the result is our new DVD: the festival performances, the behind the scenes material, and also some interviews and other summer activities around Finland.

We also made a re-recording of the track “Battle Metal” and did a video clip to it based on material our fans had sent us. If you want, you can keep on sending us links to what ever material you come up with and we’ll put them up on our site. Or if you want to send us something by snail mail, you can find the postal address on our site.

The tour with Dragonforce is very extensive, and will keep us busy for the coming months and take us from Britain to North-America and all across Europe. We'll try to post some blog material for you to see on our video blog at http://www.royalartistclub.com/turisas  so check it out and come down to the shows!"

The brilliant new video for “Battle Metal 2008” has been launched now. It is high time to finally have an official video-clip for this battle hymn which is also a tribute to the band’s dedicated fans (without whom there is obviously no such thing as a crowd favourite). So, watch this now! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8EDgekt6M0

The audio version of “Battle Metal 2008” will only be available on the limited edition of TURISAS first ever DVD release “A Finnish Summer With Turisas”, which will be released in the UK on 3rd November

I Am Ghost Streaming "So I Guess This Is Goodbye"

Los Angeles based dark-rock group, I Am Ghost, who release their much anticipated sophomore album, Those We Leave Behind, on October 6th.   are streaming the video for the track So I Guess This Is Goodbye'

Those We Leave Behind, seamlessly melds elements of metal, melodic-hardcore and screamo with sweeping sing-along choruses to startling effect. Blending fantasy and reality in his twisted tales of death and tragedy, I Am Ghost revel in showing the world’s beauty in decay on songs like the massive anthem “Don’t Wake Up,” the ode to the fallen “Those We Leave Behind” and the heart wrenching tale of “The Saddest Story Never Told.”  Those We Leave Behind is a sonic stake in the heart of safe, conformist music, defiantly confirming I Am Ghost’s place among the scenes most elite bands.

With a reenergized passion and energy, I Am Ghost, are set to unveil their new music to their legion of fans on the band’s European tour this winter.
