Dear Superstar
Announce Tour With Hanoi Rocks |
 |

Following their recent touring success, DEAR SUPERSTAR have just announced their imminent return to UK stages with Finnish rock legends HANOI ROCKS this November.
Having recently completed a string of UK and Finnish Tours with the likes of Firewind, Bullet For My Valentine and Kids in Glass Houses in support of their forthcoming album “Heartless” which is released on 20th October, we caught up with Mancunian bad-boy grit-rockers DEAR SUPERSTAR for an update on their breaking news:
Lead Singer, Micky Satiar: "We've had an insane year so far! After signing to DR2 Records and spending most of the year on the road, we have made a substantial dent on the UK. We have pulled absolutely no punches onstage and hit these tours at 110mph! With a relentless tour schedule for the foreseeable future - we aren’t slowing down for no-one!”
Quickly becoming one of the UK's premiere rock and roll debauchery titans - DEAR SUPERSTAR will be rocking hard and partying even harder with Hanoi Rocks on the following dates:
01.11. Nottingham @ Rock City
02.11. Birmingham @ Academy 2
03.11. Manchester @ Academy 2

Singer Josh Franceschi said “We are honoured to be playing shows as big as these with a band that we all love. However it was a tough decision as we never want to risk inconveniencing our fans by changing the dates of our shows. However, we found days to reschedule the shows so that makes minimum hassle for everyone.”
A collection of 13 anthems for our time, You Me At Six’s debut album Take Off Your Colours reflects the changing musical landscape within the current UK rock scene. No longer are most bands striving to go back to their hardcore roots. They are influenced by bands such as Fall Out Boy and Paramore, who still belonging to the scene and have incorporated an element of pop into their guitar heavy song writing to produce Radio One worthy hits. The album is out now on Slam Dunk Records.

Hellmouth Sign
With Ferret |
 |
Ferret Music has announced the signing of Michigan’s Hellmouth.
With nods to bands like Celtic Frost, Black Flag, Venom, Black Sabbath and Disfear, Hellmouth is drawing from its members' past while carving its own disgusting sound. Hellmouth's grim reality could only have been spawned from the likes of Detroit. With the worst economy in the country, corrupt politicians and Ted Nugent, it's no wonder the members band’s music turned out this raw and punishing.
The band have sold out of their nine song demo released earlier this year and are currently writing for their Ferret debut to be released later this year.
Speaking on the signing Alex from the band said “Ferret's a mature label that can really help us out with publicity, shows and most importantly getting our music heard by as many people as possible. On the flipside, I think our diligence as a band will in turn help ferret by pushing Hellmouth into the public as much as possible. and most importantly by recording a fucking evil monster of an album.”

Fighstar Ready To
Invade Your School |
 |
MySpace, the world’s premier social network, is giving 14-18 year olds a once in a lifetime chance to host a school party with some of the biggest names in the music industry with a nationwide competition - School Invasions.
From today, students are invited to visit the School Invasions profile at www.myspace.com/schoolinvasions to enter their school in the competition. The prize includes an all-expenses paid party with appearances from Kate Nash, The Wombats, DJ Ironik and Fightstar. The school that receives the most votes on the profile will host the event.
As well as winning their own exclusive party, the school will receive £10,000 worth of music equipment and a music masterclass with an established band. As part of the workshop, the band will share tales of how they got started and offer tips and advice about getting into the music industry.
This announcement follows the recent success of the MySpace Bus at the Underage Festival in Victoria Park, London, where top acts played intimate gigs for 14-18 yr old fans.
Dom Cook, Head of Entertainment at MySpace UK, said: “We recognise that under-18s are passionate about music and use MySpace on a daily basis to connect with and discover great artists and bands. We want to give something back to this dedicated community of young fans by encouraging them to learn more about music in school, while also giving them the party of a lifetime.”
