Debut EP from this young four piece who
have already shared stages with the likes of The Wombats,
Fightstar and Gallows, albeit The Humour are more down and
dirty garage rock as opposed to pop-punk.
The production is rough around the edges
and there is a definite ’live’ feel to each of the three
tracks, each of which is pretty much short and simplistic
with up-tempo hooks and brief and to the point instrumental
breaks. The quirky ‘Your Robot Dance In Time’ proves to be
the pick of the bunch, incorporating dance beats into the
equation, and does enough to suggest that (given time) The
Humour may be capable of coming up with something more
original and interesting than what they have delivered here.
