Guns On The Roof are a Leeds based punk band that manage to
merge old punk influences with the new to deliver catchy,
fast songs that are well played and presented, no mean
feat, especially considering that the average age of the
band is nineteen.
‘Last Orders’ and ‘So Tired’ demonstrate the band's ability
perfectly, reminiscent of bands like The Clash or a more
melodic Distillers or The Unseen; it is simply great
memorable punk. ‘Michael Myers’, with it’s Halloween film
influenced lyrics, gives the feel of Michale Graves era
Misfits whilst it also serves up those whoa, whoa moments
which helps make this to the most fun song on the EP.
If you like punk then Guns On The Roof are very much worth
checking out. Although what they do has been done before by
numerous bands, there aren’t that many currently doing it to
such a high standard. With their second full length album
due out later this year surely there will be someone with
the sense to sign the band.
