Heaven & Hell |
 |
Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice have reunited as Heaven And Hell and are embarking on a major tour of UK Arenas in November. Tickets for the unique opportunity to see this classic lineup reunited for the first time in 15 years, go on sale on Friday 30th March.
On April 9th, Rhino Records will release the first comprehensive introduction to the lineup’s vastly overlooked legacy, ‘Black Sabbath, The Dio Years’, featuring a dozen classic studio recordings, one live track and three new songs, especially recorded late in 2006 for inclusion on this compilation.
The compilation spotlights Dio's time with Black Sabbath, drawing heavily from the group's 1980 record ‘Heaven And Hell’ and its 1981 follow-up, ‘Mob Rules’. With these albums now recognized as back-to-back metal classics, this compilation features such signature songs as ‘Neon Knights’, ‘Die Young’, ‘Turn Up The Night’, ‘Voodoo’, and, of course, the title tracks of both albums. ‘The Dio Years’ also features ‘After All (The Dead)’, ‘TV Crimes’ and ‘I’ from the singer's brief reunion with Sabbath for the ‘Dehumanizer’ album and tour. On April 16th, Rhino will release one of the new tracks, ‘The Devil Cried’, as a download only single. Heaven And Hell, who sold out their March 30th New York Radio City show in minutes, will play the following shows:-
November 4th - Newcastle Metro Arena
November 6th - Glasgow SECC Hall 4
November 7th - Sheffield Hallam FM Arena
November 9th - Manchester Evening News Arena
November 10th - London Wembley Arena
November 11th - Brighton Centre
November 13th - Birmingham NEC
November 14th - Cardiff International Arena

Bloodstock Press
Release |
 |
The organisers of this years Bloodstock Festivals have made the following announcement with regard to changes to bothe the outdoor and the indoor versions of the event:
"Bloodstock Open Air will be changing date this year. It was not an easy decision to make, and obviously one we would have preferred to not to have had to make in the first place, but under the circumstances we didn’t really have much of an alternative. I know what you’re thinking: “what circumstances are these then?” and to be honest, I would be thinking the exact same thing in your shoes. I would prefer not to go into any specifics at this time (mainly for fear of libel!) however let’s just say we found ourselves with increasingly mounting odds stacking up against us and the only way to overcome them was to move the event. So now the BOA festival will be happening on 16th, 17th and 18th August 2007 however we have managed to secure a bonus night for the Thursday which will feature a full headline set by the Bay Area legends TESTAMENT along with a support lineup tba This will set us up nicely for the metal event of 2007.
The weekend is shaping up rather well now, with the aforementioned Testament being joined by Korpiklaani, In Flames, Wolf, Lacuna Coil, Arch Enemy, Dream Evil, Memfis, Rise to Addiction to name but a few.
Due to the new dates of BOA being in such close proximity to the Indoor event it was unfortunately inevitable that we had to make the decision to postpone this year’s instalment. This decision was harder to make than moving the Outdoor as the Indoor is the heritage of Bloodstock and the foundation of where it all began. We have spent weeks arguing the pros and cons but ultimately it doesn’t make sense to run two similar festivals two weeks apart so this year the Indoor has to make way, but rest assured Indoor WILL RETURN next year however, but in a revised format as we will be looking to return to the origins of Bloodstock, the one day event at Derby Assembly Rooms, however it will be moved to later in the year, and in fact next years event has already been confirmed for 22 November 2008.
So, with the revised schedule for Bloodstock events this year, naturally this brings us onto the tricky issue of tickets as we know some of you will be unable to make the new dates, or some of you have bought Indoor tickets or Supporters club packs and are now wondering where this leaves you, and to those of you who have already bought their tickets (thank you!), we will email you all separately advising you of your options.
I would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding and hopefully we can put put to bed all the negativity which has surrounded the festival for the past couple of months and concentrate on making BOA the metal event of 2007".

English hard rocking heavy metal legends Saxon, who star in Channel 4’s ‘Get Your Act Together’ programme (fronted by Harvey Goldsmith) on April 10th, have now confirmed the release their ANTI GUN CRIME single featured on the show, ‘If I Was You’, on SPV Records on April 16th. All proceeds from the single will be split equally between The Non Violence Foundation and the Gun Control Network – see www.nonviolenceuk.org.uk and www.gun-control-network.org for details.
‘If I Was You’ is taken from Saxon’s just released, highly acclaimed 18th studio album ‘The Inner Sanctum’, which went straight into the UK Rock album chart at number 4. Reviewing the LP in Kerrang!’s March 24th issue, Nick Ruskell enthused; “Sounding a good 20 years younger than their birth certificates say, there’s no messing here, just a load of solid heavy metal tunes played with the energy and conviction of a band right at the top of their game, and although they may be older, wiser and greyer than they used to be, Saxon are still way above par when it comes to delivering the metal.”
Saxon have also rescheduled their UK & Irish tour, which was postponed last month when singer Biff Byford contracted a throat infection and lost his voice. Dates are:-

Frontiers Records
Update |
 |
Frontiers Records have announced the release of Meldrum's brand new studio opus entitled "Blowin' Up The Machine" on May 11th 2007.
Meldrum is - in guitarist Michelle's own words - a "in your face, ass kicking metal band", combining aggressively melodic vocals, mind bending guitar riffs, along with a rhythm section creating fiercely bombastic grooves, giving the band their unique, cutting edge sound.

After the release of their debut "Loaded Mental Cannon", Meldrum followed up with an intensive touring that culminated in 2005, when the band toured for 3 months with Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society, appearing in sold out venues across the US and Europe, as well as supporting Motorhead in Europe on their 30th anniversary tour. In the fall of 2006 Meldrum joined again Motorhead as special guests for the fifth time on their German tour.
Singer Moa Holmsten is special guest vocalist on Motorhead's 30th anniversary DVD. Moa recently recorded guest vocals for Lemmy Kilmister's solo album, on a song written by Dave Grohl.
Guitarist Michelle Meldrum started her first band Wargod, with Strapping Young Lad drummer Gene Hoglan. She went on to form and become, lead guitarist of hard rock band Phantom Blue, originally signed to Shrapnel Records, Roadrunner, & Geffen Records.
Meldrum have recently completed their new CD "Blowin' Up The Machine", including mixes by Toby Wright (Korn, Fear Factory, & Alice In Chains), featuring guest appearances by both Lemmy Kilmister and Gene Hoglan (Death, Strapping Young Lad).
"Lemmy has been a big influence and a huge supporter of the band" says Michelle Meldrum, "He co-wrote some lyrics and was in the studio recording "Miss me when I'm gone" and just came by and hung out a few times. We admire and love him, he's awesome!"
"Blowin' Up The Machine" boasts a shit load of energy, with modern influences mixed with traditional metal sound. Again in Michelle's words "The new album is more of a band effort and we think the songs are heavier and that the songs represent us better. Our energy that we have live was captured in a stronger way on this cd".
"Blowin' Up The Machine" will include the following tracks:
Purge; Down Your Throat; Scar; Creme De La Crème; Hang Em'; Miss Me When I'm Gone; Another Kind; Exploited; Get Yours; Outta Here and Bite The Pillow.
The album will be released on Frontiers Records on May 11th 2007
PRIMAL FEAR
PRIMAL FEAR finished the basic parts of the recording of the highly anticipated new studio album at the House Of Music studio with engineer Charlie Bauerfeind 2 weeks ago. Since then, the band has been recording lead guitars, some more vocal parts and the orchestra & keyboard stuff. Last section was handled by orchestra maestro Matthias Ulmer, who is one of the best guys for this job in Germany. He worked with PF on the "Seven Seals" sessions too.
Stefan Leibing played already some lead guitars. The band's friend Magnus Karlsson (Starbreaker, Allen / Lande) has already delivered two outstanding solos on the album. Kai Hansen of Gamma Ray and Henny Wolter (former Primal Fear guitarist b/w Thunderhead) are already working on one more spot.
Singer Ralf Scheepers has to sing two more songs during the next 2 weeks and then the band is moving to Belgium, to mix the album with Ronald Prent (Scorpions, Magnum, Def Leppard), starting on April 14th - everything looks fine and in control!
Simone Simons of Epica joined Primal Fear for some sensational vocal work and for the first time in Primal Fear's career a vocal duet with a female singer on the song "Everytime It Rains".

Song titles set to appear on the follow-up to 2005's "Seven Seals" include "Save Me", "Fighting The Darkness", "The Curse Of Sharon", "Psycho", "The Final Word", "Every Time It Rains" and more. The music will follow the path of '"Seven Seals'" with orchestral arrangements, but will include some real shredding heavy metal tunes...

MTM Sign Metal
Band 'Cage' |
 |
MTM MUSIC have announced the signing of San Diego based "modern day power metal" band CAGE.

Critics and fans alike have tried to label or classify this 5 piece group from the glistening shores of San Diego, California, with terms like "pure millennium metal", "classic metal for the new age" or "modern day power metal". But CAGE's sound is unmistakable which is proved by the new concept album "Hell Destroyer"!
In 1999 CAGE won the ROCK HARD best-unsigned band contest in competition with 600 other bands and were rewarded with the possibility to play at the DYNAMO festival the same year. They then signed their first record deal immediately after their ripping performance in front of an estimated 8,000 at the 1999 DYNAMO Open Air festival. After a brilliant performance there they were selected to play the prestigious WACKEN Open Air Festival in Germany and the METAL DAYZ Open Air Fes-tival in Switzerland. CAGE was able to hone their live skills in front of huge crowds on a consistent basis by opening for IRON MAIDEN, DIO, JUDAS PRIEST, DOKKEN, etc. "Darker Than Black” was hailed as an instant classic by many of the metal industry leading magazines and webzines and finished in the #1 position on the HEAVY Soundcheck chart list.
The concept story of “HELL DESTROYER” travels through time from the Crucifixion up to a modern day New World Order, to a demonic invasion of the earth and finally the resurrection of the Metal Devil himself 100 years after the end of the world! This massive epic is 75 minutes of relentless head banging with the soon to be classics that only CAGE can deliver with an extended illustrated booklet.

The full track listing for Hell Destroyer is as follows:
Descension, Hell Destroyer, I Am The King, The Circle Of Light, Christ Hammer, Born In Blood, Abomination, Inauguration, Rise Of The Beast, Cremation Of Care, Bohenmian Grove, Final Proclamation, From Death To Legend, Legion of Demons, Detrayal, Fall Of The Angels, Fire and Metal, Beyond The Apocalypse, The Lords of Chaos, Metal Devil and King Diamond
The release is scheduled for May 18th, 2007.

Tobias Sammet -
Avantasia |
 |
Tobias Sammet, lead vocalist with Edguy, is currently working on the third instalment of his Avantasia rock opera. Sammet has announced, via his website, that the third album will be released under the title "The Scarecrow".
"I am right now in the studio doing some vocal sessions" says Sammet. "In about two weeks I am going to fly to England to work with a friend of mine on some vocals. Fans and record companies who are interested always ask me for the names of my guest musicians. I want you all to know that I am blessed to work with the best musicians, but I don't believe in making names more important than the music itself. I am working with some childhood heroes of mine and most important, with great personalities, true friends, and the greatest musicians you can think of. Producer Sascha and I just checked some new recordings and I have the feeling, that this is the strongest stuff we have ever worked on. It's hard to describe the material in a few words, it sounds very powerful, bombastic, very organic and alive. People who loved especially Avantasia Part I will love this one, although this time there is a lot more variation in style on there as well.
Of course it's a Metal album, but we even didn't stop at including some Celtic world music elements. But all that matters to me is that the music has to touch the soul and I swear to god: This material goes straight to your soul, because that's where it comes from. Sounds cheesy, but it's true. I am giving you my everything with this record and you will hear that in late summer!"

Escape Music
Update |
 |
Escape Music have announced the signing of TRAGIK for the release of their "Poetic Justice" album.
Tragik feature the multi talented Phil Vincent on vocals, guitars, synthesizers, Organ & Piano, Dirk Phillips on drums, Damian D'Ercole on guitars and bass as well as very special guests David Zychek (Airborne & Night Ranger) who plays lead guitars on "Show The World and Back Of My Mind" and Billy Roux who contributes lead guitars on "Message To God", "Shadow In The Night" & "Higher"
TRAGIK is the brand new rock band consisting of Phil Vincent, Damian D'Ercole & Dirk Phillips. Their first release is titled "Poetic Justice". Phil has released 9 solo albums of melodic hard rock since 1997 playing all the instruments and singing all the vocals. With TRAGIK he still contributes all lead vocals, keyboards and the rhythm guitar parts but the majority of the axe work is handled by 22 year old new comer Damian D'Ercole. Damian has been a local session guitarist for many years honing his shredding and song writing skills. His approach is aggressive and calculated bordering on mayhem. Damian also handles the bass duties, laying a solid backline to the intricate arrangements. Session pro Dirk Phillips, who has appeared in the past on Vincent's "Circular Logic" and "Tragic" CDs provides the drums. His heavy, steady drumming is the backbone of TRAGIK's sound. Dirk & Phil grew up together in the small town of Cranston, RI and shared the deep love of rock music while performing in various bands together. Their passion for Boston, Deep Purple, Dokken is heard throughout "Poetic Justice".

The full track list for Poetic Justice is as follows:
Show The World, Never Stand Alone, Test of faith, Who Will Be There?, Message To God, One Of Us, Long Time Comin', Caught In The Moment, Here In My Heart, Welcome To The Real World, Defying Logik, Shadow In The Night, Jessica, Back Of My Mind & Higher
Poertic Justice is schedule for release on 21st May 2007.
Escape have also announced their plans to release the third album by “Alliance”, the supergroup featuring Robert Berry (Solo, “3”, Hush, GTR, Ambrosia), Gary Pihl (Boston, Sammy Hagar), Alan Fitzgerald (Night Ranger) and David Lauser (Sammy Hagar). Further details of this brand new recording will be released over the next few months but, in the meantime, the label will release a lavish double CD digipack featuring the first two Alliance albums title to be "Destination Known" (“Alliance” and “Missing Piece”) together with several bonus tracks. This digipack will include new artwork and, of course, will be lovingly remastered and packaged...Again this is scheduled to be released on 21st May 2007

Bulldog Bash -
Press Release |
 |
Status Quo and The Damned have been confirmed as headline acts at the 21st Annual Bulldog Bash which takes place August 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th at the Shakespeare County Raceway, Long Marston, near Stratford On Avon, Warwickshire.
Status Quo, who have sold over 118 million records worldwide, recorded 63 British Hit Singles and had more hit albums (32) in the UK album charts than any other band apart from the Rolling Stones, headline on Friday August 10th. Status Quo have notched up 22 top ten UK singles since their first, ‘Pictures Of Matchstick Men’, reached number 7 in the UK chart in January 1968, and promise a plethora more of unforgettable rock’n’roll anthems such as ‘Paper Plane’, ‘Caroline’, ‘Down Down’, ‘Rockin’ All Over The World’, ‘Whatever You Want’, ‘The Wanderer’ and ‘In The Army Now’.
Commenting on their sole UK festival appearance in 2007, Rick Parfitt says “The whole band are looking forward to the Bulldog Bash at Long Marston. Hopefully we'll have a nice hot August day and we can really get the place rocking. I'm going to find some time to have a look at all the bikes and gear too.”
Website – www.statusquo.co.uk
The Damned, featuring original vocalist Dave Vanian and guitarist Captain Sensible, headline on Saturday August 11th. The Damned were the first of the London punk bands to release a single - ‘New Rose’, on Stiff Records, in 1976 - and have subsequently scored six top 40 hit singles out of 17 top 100 chart entries, let alone half a dozen top 40 hit albums. The Damned, who are still defiantly challenging audiences, promise an amazing live show - rock at its messy, wonderful best. The Damned, also famous as pioneers of gothic rock, are edgy, loud and sinister. Their most recent album ‘Grave Disorder’ (2005) shows the continuing power of the group that produced ‘Neat Neat Neat’, ‘Smash it up (Part 2)’, ‘Feel the Pain’ and ‘Eloise’. Their amazing live shows combine full-on rock energy, a stylish sense of performance, and humorous deadpan cool.
Captain Sensible comments “It's the first time we've been on the same bill as Quo and I'm very much looking forward to it. Whenever they played the Croydon Greyhound in the mid 70s I was there.... and it was refreshing to see a band in the bar having a drink with their fans - which the Damned have also been known to do occasionally. In this day and age of X-Factor, Simon Cowell and all these plastic celebrity karaoke shows on TV we have seen our audience figures swelling, which we reckon is a reaction to the lack of decent live bands these days. You just can't beat it - a thrashing drum kit.... a cranked up guitar.... the front man going beserk blurting out some anti establishment lyric or other. Great stuff indeed - and the UK punk movement as led by the Pistols, the Clash, the Stranglers and ourselves was a pretty wild time when the UK was at the forefront of global musical trends.... whether Mike Read or Phil Collins liked it or not! I reckon The Damned deserve medals for our services over the years but I'll settle for the fact that we're still out there having fun onstage up and down the country in 2007 after a wonderful career lasting 30 years so far. And I wouldn't have predicted THAT in 1977.... otherwise I might have chosen a better stage name than Captain Sensible I can tell you!”

A host of other acts are currently being finalised to appear at the Bulldog’s 21st annual Bash, which will be rammed with more things to do than you can shake a stick at.
American V Bike Magazine stated as far back as 2003 that “The Bulldog now boasts one of the very finest custom shows, certainly in Europe and perhaps the world” and it has been getting bigger and better ever since. As well as the massive custom bike and car show, top jet cars and rocket bikes will hurtle down the drag strip all weekend, punctuated by the ever popular ‘run-what-you-brung’ sessions and top stunt bike and car performances. All-comers wrestling bouts take place all weekend alongside a massive village of trade stalls selling all kinds of biking and alternative lifestyle kit, let alone a host of tattoo and piercing parlours. Among many other highlights promised are the ‘Wall Of Death’, the ‘Topless Bike Wash’ and a fairground full of ludicrous white knuckle rides.
Tickets are available by post, priced £45 (until June 30th and £50 after July 1st) from THE BULLDOG BASH, PO BOX 5026 EAST READING RG6 1ZQ. (Sterling only) cheques should be made out to ‘The Bulldog Bash’ and all postal applications must include a stamped, self-addressed envelope. Tickets can also be purchased from credit card hotline 08713 100000 (booking fees apply) and will be available via www.bulldogbash.com soon.

Metal Blade Update |
 |
THE BLACK DAHILA MURDER announce new drummer!
Detroit-based extreme metallers THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER have issued the following update:
"Well, after 4.5 months of grueling searching, we are extremely happy to announce that Shannon Lucas [ex-ALL THAT REMAINS] has joined THE BLACK DAHLIA fold. He is an extremely sick player, as many of you already know, and we can't wait to do the next album together. We also would like to thank everyone that tried out for the band. We had the chance to jam with some amazing dudes throughout the process. We encourage everyone who can to come out to our first show back at New England Metal and Hardcore Festival [in late April]."
THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER is currently writing material for the follow-up to 2005's "Miasma", due later in the year via Metal Blade Records. "It's definitely in the same vein as our older stuff," vocalist Trevor Strnad told MTV.com in January. "Nothing drastically changed. It's just more tasteful, and some of this new stuff will be faster than the last record."
THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER will record the new CD with Eric Rachel, who mixed "Miasma". "There's going to be a lot more soloing than we've done previously," Strnad explained to MTV.com. "This record's a bit more European-sounding, I think. More so than we already were, if you can imagine that. The solo stuff has a black metal-ish flavor to it. We messed around with that a little bit previously, but some of the songs have a major DISSECTION kind of feel to them."
Lyrically, Strnad said the record — due in the fall — will be "more horror-oriented" than "Miasma". "As far as gore and death and stuff like that goes, I mean, that's all been done — into the ground," he said. "I am just trying to do something like that, but with my own flavor to it. There are still ways to repulse people out there — I just need to figure it all out."
THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER is also working on its first DVD release, which Strnad hopes will include footage documenting the making of the band's next record.
UNEARTH
“So we just landed in the UK and we are all eager as fuck to headline the UK and Europe for the first time. We have done some amazing European tours before, but it will feel damn good to play a full set and put on our show for our friends overseas. We are hitting up some smaller venues, most without barricades, so we can bring a real Unearth show to the people. We hand picked Job For a Cowboy, Despised Icon and Daath to make sure the entire bill was one that will keep the crowds looking over their shoulders at all times.. Tickets are going fast to most of the shows, so be sure to hit up the links in the tour section of the site to get yours before they are gone.”
”After the headlining run we come right back home for a North American tour with Dimmu Borgir, Devil Driver and Kataklysm. We haven't hit the road with Dimmu since the 2004 Ozzfest, so it will be good to get out there and do it again in a club setting. Devil Driver is always a great band to share the stage with and Kataklysm is one of the best death metal bands around today. This tour is going to be an unfuckingreal diverse clash of heavy music....good times ahead. For the summer, a handful of European festivals and a return to Japan, Australia and New Zealand are in the works, so stay tuned for updates.”
See you all real soon, Unearth

Floors & Walls -
Press Release |
 |
What happens when the world of hoodie-sporting chavdom crashes headfirst into big groove, visceral rock music like a joy ridden Honda Civic? Floors And Walls mate. That's what.
Looking as likely to mug you as play you a tune, this Brighton based quartet are forging a path into unique and idiosyncratic waters. Some have seen fit to dub it Chav-Core - but you need to hear this band to decide for yourself!
They release their second single, 'The Stand', on the 21st of May 2007 on South Coast Sounds. Available as CD and download, it will include a live version of 'Grimey' and a cover of the classic Beastie Boy's track 'Sabotage' (+ the Stand ringtone)! It will be followed on June 4 by the 'What Can We Do Today' album.
The band 's limited edition debut single 'Head Access', released in February, created a massive buzz locally and the band have built up a loyal following, selling out Brighton's Concorde 2 to over 700 fans!
Front man, MC and all-round lad Alex Adams comes from a drum n bass background, while the rest of the band were raised on the likes of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mars Volta, Muse and System Of A Down. The result has been described as "The Streets meets Rage Against The Machine". Or as one wag put it 'the resulting offspring of a sexual liaison between the Chili Peppers and Vikki Pollard!'.
There is a tangible excitement in the audience at Floors and Walls gigs, "I think the best music happens when you combine polar opposites", explains guitarist Dom McNulty, "We sound a bit like Arctic Monkey's on speed!"
Because of the band's unique fusion of sounds (a melting pot of rock, MCing and soulful hardhitting lyrics), Floors and Walls have the opportunity to cross over between the usually separate audiences for drum n bass and rock music. "I think everybody can take something from it because it's so diverse," says Ian. "We all bring our own influences to it and see what happens."
The band head out on the road in support of the up-coming releases. Catch them at one of the following shows:
March 22nd Old Ship, Brighton (Brighton Festival Launch)
March 24th Sugarlounge, Margate
April 17th Bristol Fleece & Firkin
April 18th Tunbridge Wells Forum
May 3rd Dublin Castle, London
May 9th Rock City, Nottingham
May 11th Sugarlounge, Margate
May 27th Miffstock Festival, Horsham (headlining)

HYDE PARK CALLING WITH AEROSMITH!
Balls-out Irish rockers, The Answer, are pleased to announce that they will be playing, by request, two shows including the Hyde Park Calling event with rock legends Aerosmith. The Hyde Park show takes place on June 24th and prior to that they will also perform with Aerosmith on the main stage at Sweden Rock festival, June 8th.
This is a great honour for the band who are huge fans of Messrs. Tyler & co; their cover version of ‘Sweet Emotion’ has become a live favourite and was included on the recent digital single, ‘Be What You Want’, released on March 12th.
Having supported The Who at last year's Leeds Wireless festival and completed tours with Whitesnake in the UK and Eagles Of Death Metal in Australia, The Answer are certainly no strangers to the big stage and this is set to continue through a very hectic summer touring period. The beginning of March saw them headline a sold out show at the legendary London Bloomsbury Ballroom and by media and public demand they fly to the other side of the world to play their first ever headline gig in Tokyo, March 27th at the Shibuya A-X.
April will also see the band embark on a full headline European tour to support their forthcoming pan European single release of ‘Be What You Want’. At the end of this run and in response to the ever growing army of fans in Ireland, The Answer will headline the Temple Bar music centre in Dublin on May 10th and then the 1200 capacity Belfast Mandela Hall on May 11th.

Since it’s release in the UK (July ‘06) and Europe (September ‘06) the album has clocked up a whopping 65,000 copies sold and achieved an Impala SILVER status certification. With that number rising and with growing international and Japanese exposure, he band edge ever nearer their first 100,000 sales.
If 2006 saw the band cement their solid foundations at the forefront of the current rock scene, 2007 will undoubtedly see them catapulted to super-stardom and international recognition.

Press Release |
 |
Frontiers Records have announced the release of “The Revenge”, the greatly anticipated second chapter of the ALLEN/LANDE musical alliance on May 11th 2007!
The first result of Jorn Lande and Russell Allen’s collaboration, “The Battle” was unleashed in September 2005 with unanimous acclaim from fans and critics alike. Many websites and magazines named it “Record of the Year”. Its success made it one of the most popular releases ever in Melodic Heavy Metal, thanks to beautiful, sweeping piano and keyboards, heavy guitar riffs, virtuoso guitar solos, hooky choruses and the vocal talents of two of the finest Heavy Metal vocalists around.
Russell Allen is the singer of the American Progressive Metal band SYMPHONY X, who have released six studio albums and one live record so far. More than once SYMPHONY X received accolades such as "Best Progressive Power Metal Band Worldwide" or awards for the "Best Progressive Metal Album of the Year".
Highly rated ex-MASTERPLAN vocalist Jorn Lande has a vocal capability that is world class, distinctive, rich and spanning a large range. He is in high demand and has appeared as guest or sung for such bands as MILLENIUM, ARK, THE SNAKES and many others. He is also a well-known solo artist with six studio albums released, since the debut "Starfire" in 1999.
Once again songs were written by guitar sensation Magnus Karlsson (STARBREAKER, LAST TRIBE), the second chapter aptly titled “The Revenge” is ready to be unleashed, with cover art specifically designed for this project by Rodney Matthews (DIAMOND HEAD, MAGNUM, ASIA etc.)
Heavier and with a tighter production, thanks to the involvement of Dennis Ward (PINK CREAM 69, ANGRA, PLACE VENDOME) at the mix, this album will excite the many fans who loved the first chapter and everyone who declares themselves fan of quality Hard Rock or Metal.
“The Revenge” will include the following songs:
The Revenge (vocals: Jorn and Russell); Obsessed (Russell); Victory (Jorn and Russell); Master Of Sorrow (Jorn); Will You Follow (Russell); Just A Dream (Jorn and Russell); Her Spell (Jorn); Gone Too Far (Russell); Wake Up Call (Jorn and Russell); Under The Waves (Jorn); Who Can You Trust (Jorn and Russell); When Time Doesn’t Heal (Jorn and Russell).
