Olympia is the debut EP from Liverpudlian 5-piece The Maybes?. Right from the opening strains of first track “Rock N Roll”, there’s something catchy and infectious about the band, with overtones of Aerosmith and Black Crowes immediately evident. 

As they move through the remaining trio of songs, “Actions”, “Get On The Resin” and “Supercharged”, the band display a swagger that comes jumping straight out of your speakers and sidles across the room, JD & Coke in hand. They really remind me of the first time I heard and saw The Quireboys, not so much in sound, but definitely in attitude. 

The lads are out on tour from October 16^th, the release date of this EP and I would certainly recommend that you get yourselves along to one of their shows. I really think they have the potential to be something a bit special and who knows, in a few years, you might be propping up a bar somewhere, relating tales of when you saw them live way back when, before they made it big. Do yourself a favour and take that chance.
