Avenged Sevenfold - Dear God

Released to coincide with the bands festival appearances at Leeds and reading alongside their enviable support slot to the mighty Iron Maiden at Twickenham Stadium Dear God is the latest single to be culled from Avenged Sevenfold's self titled album from last year.

Even back when that album was first released Dear God dood out as a little gem amongst all the anthems and high octane metal that made up the bulk of that release. What the track does is show the band have a depth of talent that goes beyond writing foot to the floor rock and also demonstrates with ease that the band are capable of taking their music in whatever direction they feel fit. “Dear God” is one of those songs that just begs for an audience to wave their lighters in the air. It’s basically rock mixed with country and performed in a way that will see the band turning many heads and could become an anthem for long haul truckers around the globe.
